Congratulations on the birth of your child.
Baptism is referred to as “The gateway to the sacraments” – in other words it is the first of all sacraments and makes possible the reception of the others.
It is therefore a central moment in the faith life of your child and family. In asking to have your child baptized, you are taking on the special care and responsibility to ensure your child receives example in faith.
